Job Description
The Freelance Art Director will work closely with the creative team, content strategists, and account leads to provide excellent creative execution and service to designated clients. The primary focus will be creating content for social media and social media advertising, contributing to brainstorms, and helping achieve client objectives with great creative work. The role requires expertise in multiple facets of the creative process and the creative industry.
Responsibilities
Creative Execution
- Develop and direct creative work to achieve client objectives
- Contribute to concepting/brainstorms for clients
- Participate in new business pitches
- Develop original concepts aligned with clients’ strategic objectives and brand standards
- Stay up-to-date on social channels and digital marketing to pitch new content concepts
- Understand performance-driven creative
- Graphic design and editing as needed
Project Management
- Project manage all owned creative deliverables and meet deadlines
- Manage quick turnaround times and a robust volume of content
Requirements
- 4-5 years of graphic design/art director/copywriting/production/editing experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to multitask, set priorities, and take initiative
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and familiarity with fast-paced agency environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Google Slides, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and design trends
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize work and resources
- Bachelor’s degree in design or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Video editing experience and familiarity with Adobe After Effects

- Photography/videography/production experience
Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $35 - $50 per hour and will be commensurate with experience.
