Job Description

The graphic designer will be responsible for designing and creating all marketing materials and signage that represents the Center and its mission. This includes creating visually appealing graphics and designs for various marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, social media posts, and website banners. They will also be responsible for managing and maintaining all signage and logos for the Center. The graphic designer will collaborate with the marketing team to understand project requirements and objectives, and develop and implement creative concepts that align with brand guidelines and target audience. They will also produce direct mail and other print marketing collateral materials, work on branding and marketing campaigns, and use their photography skills to capture and edit high-quality images for use in designs. The graphic designer is expected to adhere to the policies and procedures of the Center and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design.

Requirements

• At least three years proven experience as a graphic designer or similar role
• Knowledge of the mass media, its terminology, and basic information requirements of print and electronic media
• Proficient in using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Excellent understanding of layout design principles and typography
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with word processing/computers/office equipment and record-keeping
• Education and/or experience in skillful use of a DSLR camera
• Able to handle multiple, often simultaneous, deadlines
• Tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, and good judgment
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

Other Information

• Job Type: Part-time
• Pay: $21.00 per hour
• Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
