Job Description

Orion Group is seeking an Instructional Designer to work remotely for our multinational pharmaceutical client. The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies by developing instructional design assets in an effective and captivating manner. The position offers an opportunity to impact the learning journey significantly.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with subject matter experts to recommend effective uses of technology for learning environments.
  • Design and develop instructional materials using multimedia tools.
  • Collaborate on project deliverables and timelines to ensure effective learning design.
  • Assess training organization needs, design intervention strategies, and establish performance assessment standards.
  • Develop curricula, train instructors, and assess the impact of training on job performance.
  • Lead projects, facilitate team interventions, and participate in internal audits.

Requirements

Education: BA/BS required.

Experience: 2 to 4 years of training/instructional design.

Key Competencies Required:

  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Expertise in rapid instructional design development and use of tools like Articulate and Canva.
  • Experience with synthesizing complex inputs into engaging learning objectives.
  • Ability to organize and co-facilitate online workshops and lead client feedback discussions.

Other Information

Job Type: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift
