Job Description

The Phoenix Gay Men’s Chorus is seeking a creative and dynamic Social Media Manager to enhance our digital presence and engage our community. This role involves developing and executing effective social media strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Director, the Board of Directors, and the Governance Council. The role is part-time, 8-10 hours per week at $20.00 per hour, with the possibility of exceeding 15+ hours during peak times.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
• Produce engaging content including blog posts, digital newsletters, and website updates.
• Attend meetings, take minutes, and manage project timelines.
• Respond promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms.
• Coordinate marketing and advertising campaigns with team members and community partners.
• Manage and analyze performance metrics to report on campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
• Participate in weekly rehearsals, board meetings, and special events to capture and share relevant content.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in social media management and digital content creation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Canva or Adobe Design is preferred.
• A passion for the arts and LGBTQ+ advocacy is highly desirable.
