Job Description

IU Jacobs School of Music is seeking a talented and creative graphic designer to join our team on a part-time basis, contributing to the visual identity and communication strategies of our brand across both digital and print platforms.

• Works with the senior designer to assist in translating the brand vision into compelling designs for web and print.
• Collaborates with the communication team to create appealing graphics that effectively communicate messages to the target audience(s).
• Creates visually appealing designs utilizing brand assets and standards for electronic, web, and print media.
• Assist with website design, updates, and copy changes in the IU WCMS.
• Supports in creating print products like posters, programs, and publications.

Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Work Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
• Skills:
• Strong portfolio demonstrating web and print design projects.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, technology, and website management.
• Experience updating websites across various platforms.
• Designing promotional materials.
• Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Organizational, problem-solving, time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

Work Location

IU Bloomington Campus. This is an in-person position.

Advertised Salary

Pay is $21.00 per hour.

Work Hours

20 hours per week.
