Job Description:

We are looking for a creative individual with a strong interest in science and video editing to assist our team in producing high-quality scientific videos. The selected intern or temp will have the opportunity to work closely with the marketing team and researchers to create engaging and informative content that communicates complex scientific concepts to a broad audience.

Responsibilities:

• Edit raw footage to produce polished and visually appealing scientific videos
• Incorporate animations, graphics, and other visual elements to enhance the clarity and impact of the content
• Collaborate with researchers and educators to ensure accuracy and relevance of video content
• Help brainstorm and develop creative concepts for new video projects
• Assist with scriptwriting and storyboarding as needed
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in video editing and science communication

Requirements:

Education background that includes either engineering, biology, or chemistry. Media production, communication, and science communication are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for science and a desire to communicate complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner
• Proven record of creating videos for commercial entities
• The intern will be required to provide their own computer and video editing software
