Job Description:
The Traffic Anchor will keep listeners informed about traffic and weather in the local area by providing timely and useful information, announcing accidents and delays, reading traffic reports, and managing accurate information for on-air shifts. Responsibilities also include updating the website and preparing content for various platforms.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of local geography, roadways, and traffic patterns
- Pleasant and charismatic voice with excellent pronunciation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Understanding of police scanners is a plus
