Job Description
CBS 2 Chicago is seeking a visual storyteller experienced in NPPA style principles to cover news events and stories for newscasts, digital streaming, and local programming. Responsibilities include operating broadcast cameras, drones, editing systems, and supporting social media strategies.
Requirements
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in photography and editing, preferably in a top 30 market. A bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field is preferred. Experience with ENG news coverage, Sony HD cameras, Edius non-linear editing, and a valid Illinois driver’s license are required.
Other Information
- Photographers should be capable of physically and emotionally demanding assignments, possess excellent communication skills, and adaptability to writing content for broadcast.
- The role may involve driving long distances, working unpredictable hours including weekends and overnights, and interacting with various third parties such as emergency personnel.
- Being a member of the IBEW Local 220 union is required for this position.
