Job Description

We are seeking Full Stack Java Developers to join JP Morgan in Glasgow on an initial 6-month contract to work on a greenfield project building an internal screening application. You will be part of an agile team enhancing, designing, and delivering software components in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Job responsibilities:

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Write secure, high-quality code using Java/Spring/SQL and testing frameworks
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems
• Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from data sets to contribute to decision-making
• Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchain, agile methodologies, and technical troubleshooting

Requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Demonstrable ability to code in Java/Spring/SQL and testing frameworks
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Experience across the whole SDLC, agile methodologies, and system design
• Hands-on practical experience in application development, testing, and operational stability

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Familiarity with front-end technologies like React, Cypress, npm
• Experience with AWS or Big Data
• Exposure to cloud technologies

Other Information

This role will be working on a hybrid model, with a minimum of 3 days office-based and up to 2 days work from home. A PC/Laptop is required for remote work.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £450.00-£650.00 per day

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Experience required: Java 5 years, Angular 3 years (preferred), React 3 years (preferred), AWS 3 years (preferred)
