Job Description

First Presbyterian Church in Lapeer, Michigan, a 191-year-old church, is looking to hire an Organist / Pianist for their weekly Sunday Services. The role entails playing the Wicks organ, designed specifically for the church and known for its exceptional tonal qualities. The Organist provides music for regular and special worship services, accompanies the choir, and collaborates with the Pastor and choir director to enhance the worship experience for all members.

Requirements

- Attend music ministry staff meetings and coordinate playing schedules with the choir director and Pastor.

- Prepare and play preludes, postludes, and offertory anthems each week.

- Serve as performance and rehearsal accompanist for the choir and play at funerals/weddings as needed.

- Arrange for substitutes if necessary and maintain the Organ and piano.

- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Lapeer, MI.

- Work weekends and holidays as necessary.

- Part-time role as an independent contractor with compensation at $250.00 per week.

Additional Information
