Job Description

This role at Digitas is for a Lead Frontend Developer on a Fixed-Term Contract until Feb 2025. The main responsibility is to create reusable and scalable frontend components using React, Next JS, Tailwind, and Storybook. The role requires a good understanding of composable architectures, web standards, design systems, web performance, and unit testing. Knowledge of micro frontend methodologies and Next JS 13+ with monorepos is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a component library for UI elements in a large re-platform project
• Own code quality and frontend standards for the component library/design system
• Produce high-quality code considering web standards, performance, and accessibility
• Maintain Storybook and ensure CI/CD pipelines support code quality
• Code review and mentor junior developers
• Implement and manage code quality tools like JEST unit tests and visual regression testing
• Lead frontend teams on complex projects

Qualifications

• Expert in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, CSS, and Tailwind
• Deep understanding of web standards, atomic design, and design systems
• Familiarity with Figma design tokens, web performance metrics, Storybook, and Next JS
• Experience with microservices, headless CMS, and monorepo deployment
• Ability to deconstruct user interfaces into reusable components
