Job Description:

This freelance job opportunity involves traveling around the country this summer to assist artists in creating songs. We are looking for audio engineers and songwriters proficient in recording vocals and mixing. Must be proficient in ProTools or Logic. The role requires owning a mobile setup including a Mac Book computer, M-Box or audio setup, microphone/mic stand, headphones, Logic and/or ProTools. Basic mixing skills and ability to record vocals are essential. The position involves clean background check, ability to pass a drug test, and possession of a valid driver’s license. No health issues or airplane phobias. Flexible work schedule is required, as well as availability to travel during the summer. Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in the field are preferred. Working hours are flexible, with Sunday flights, work on Monday and Tuesday, and return on Tuesday night or Wednesday.

Requirements:

- Proficiency in ProTools or Logic

- Own mobile setup including Mac Book, M-Box or audio setup, microphone/mic stand, headphones, Logic, and/or ProTools

- Basic mixing skills and ability to record vocals

- Clean background check (NO misdemeanors or felonies), ability to pass drug test, and possession of a valid driver’s license

- Availability for summer travel and a flexible work schedule

- 3-5 years of experience in the field preferred

Other Information:

- Additional skills in audio and videography/editing are a plus

- Compensation ranges from $250 for a day of audio work and mixing 2 songs to $650 for a week including 3 days of audio work, mixing 2 songs, and 2 days of assisting a videographer

- Must be able to work with seniors and youth
