Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer Instructor that will help drive our Youth Development Outcomes through positive staff practices that create a high-quality experience rooted in Fun, Recognition, Sense of Belonging, Physical Safety, Emotional Safety, High Expectations & Opportunities, and Supportive Relationships. The Audio Engineering Instructor is responsible to assist, support, and help develop the art program to ensure it is aligned with the vision and focus of the organization’s goals. The position supports the audio engineering workshop curriculum for grades 9th - 12th and assists with all special projects and supportive functions related.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
- Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Studio and/or live production experience with mixing consoles, microphones, and patch bays.
- Strong understanding of a variety of audio production types: studio recording/mixing (multiple genres), live music, corporate A/V, and commercial installation.
- Passionate about inspiring, mentoring, and helping others learn.
- Must be able to prepare students of a variety of experience levels.
Minimum Position Requirement:
- Content Knowledge Evidence - Associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university in the teaching field or closely related field.
- Possesses experience with Pro-Tools and Analog consoles
- At least 3 years of work experience in the field.
- Selected candidates will also be required to complete a satisfactory background check

Staff Hours
12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Virtual Team Meeting Schedule
- May 20th 5:00 pm to 6:00pm
- May 24th 5:00 pm to 6:00pm
- May 29th 5:00 pm to 6:00pm
Additional Planning
Up to 5 hours per teacher, upon request
Pay Rate
$22 per hour
Total Salary
$836.00 (38 hours)
