Job Description:
HBCU Research Magazine is seeking a creative Graphic Designer with experience in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate should be able to interpret ideas and convert them into visual designs, have an understanding of marketing campaigns, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include working on multiple projects simultaneously, creating visual elements for various media, collaborating with clients’ teams, and meeting design deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing, or related field
- Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
- 4+ years of professional commercial design experience
- Experience with WordPress templates
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take and apply constructive criticism
Other Information:
- Job Type: Contract
- Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
- Schedule: 4-hour or 8-hour shifts, day shift
- Location: In person, Baltimore, MD 21202
- Relocation Required
