Job Description

Fox News Channel is seeking a hardworking Freelance Camera Operator who is a team player capable of operating in a dynamic and fluid production environment. The Camera Operator will work with various camera systems in studio, on Fox Square, and remote locations, and assist in set changes and equipment movement.

Camera Operators may work in diverse conditions and must be able to stand for long periods. Occasional travel and extended shifts might be necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, radio/TV/film, production, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of experience in live television or media production with proficiency in Pedestal and Robotic Camera systems
• Operational knowledge of studio operations, including camera setup, set pieces, and video patching
• Experience with various camera systems including Pedestal, Robotic, Jib, and Handheld Cameras
• Skills in framing shots, focus, camera movement, and understanding viewer needs
• Knowledgeable in photographic equipment, lighting, composition, and editing
• Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and adjust to changing priorities
• Flexibility to work early mornings, holidays, and weekends

Other Information

The position offers a pay range of $31.50-43.75 per hour. Freelancers are eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k benefits after meeting criteria. The company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
