    uniE621 Brother Friend
Capturing an essential essence of the Austin cultural landscape, Brother Friend is an inviting and warm location with a relaxed atmosphere and a fun vibe. The works made for the brand focused on developing products that customers could connect with, by giving simple things like greeting cards, matchboxes, and tote bags a well-crafted artistic flare that emphasizes the essence of what Brother Friend is all about. --- By focusing on some of the store's brightest characteristics - the store's doodle resident Sunny, the iconic VW Van at Pease Park, and Take Care's Grackle Mascot - the project captures a fun whimsical side of the connections that small locally owned stores can bring to a community. --- ** image shown was the key illustration for this project. **
    uniE621 Yardsale Concert Poster
Commissioned by Yardsale, a small band in Austin, Texas. --- After winning the Battle of the Bands event hosted by UT's leading student orgs, Yardsale opened up for Coin at the annual Forty Acres Fest. --- Two editions were made: a B&W edition made for social media marketing and for general sale, and a colored and signed edition exclusive to the band's members. #illustrator #branding
    uniE621 Take Care Coffee
A local coffee shop in Austin, Take Care Coffee recently launched a happy hour in order to help bring in customers during the post-morning lull. This simple illustration serves as a recurring marketing post on social media as well as a small sign at the espresso stand, capturing the light-hearted and laid-back vibe that the store looks to uphold.
    uniE621 Absolute Texxas
Absolute Texxas is a popular spirit group at the University of Texas at Austin. Needing designs for branding and merchandise, I took on the task of developing designs with popping colors and funky fonts that capture the unique, weird, and forward-thinking attitude of the organizations. --- The designs range from poster size illustrations to logo and banner signs, featuring Texas's iconic longhorn and a palette of oranges that establish a bright visual identity.
    uniE621 Twilight Requiem
"Twilight Requiem is an exploration of ritual and ceremonial objects used in quotidian life. It draws upon Korean folk art forms, aesthetics, and histories to imagine new rituals and objects. A meditation on the twilight of life on earth as we know it, the project draws from the Latin form of requiem mass to envisage cycles of rest and repose, restlessness and wandering. It explores not just the landscapes of twilight, from Romanticism to extinction, but how temporal modalities outside of linear progress can counter the imperial search for the new. It ruminates on death, the afterlife, and the reverberation between realms." -Stephanie Choi --- Presented in video form, 3 animations play side by side along with ambient music that takes the viewer through these worlds, traversing through abstract worlds and giving time and space to reflect on the twilight landscapes. --- Full gallery of images can be found here: https://www.twine.net/signin
    uniE621 Life in Paper
Initially conceptualized as a series of artworks capturing the essence of an internal sense of uncertainty and lackadaisical feelings towards the everyday workings of living, Life In Paper utilizes origami figures and a reoccurring set of paper airplanes meant to recapture and cradle the essence and wonder of childhood as individuals grow up and grapple with the loss of self-identity. --- Made over the course of 3 months using a wide variety of digital software, the works were eventually exhibited at a gallery in Austin, Texas, alongside an opening night party. The full digital gallery of all 15 works can be found below. --- https://www.twine.net/signin --- #illustrator
