Kayla is an avid - occasionally obsessive - reader who enjoys indulging in excessive amounts of sauerkraut. She is a recent graduate (with honours) from the University of Toronto & Sheridan College in a collaborative Fine Art & Art History Honours Program.
She is a creative go-getter working in photography, design and sculpture. Still honing her craft in graphic design, she comes from a strong artistic background and primarily works with photography to enhance her conceptual direction. Kayla’s practice is heavily influenced by life cycles and the characteristics of otherwise unnoticed composition in the natural world. Invisible moments are sought out and made visible, creating abstract forms that draw connections between humans and nature.
Kayla’s work has been included in a variety of group exhibitions and her designs were chosen to represent the Art & Art History program, The Blackwood Gallery, The UTM Student Union, The University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College throughout various promotional design. She currently works as a Freelance Photographer and Designer.
