Born in Coventry, West Midlands in July 1995, Skatta is a special kind of artist, with a passion for his art form and a distinctive sound that sets him apart. The emcee (real name Nathan Hunter) has already achieved more than most at his age, and despite coming from a city that's not exactly deep in musical history Skatta is changing that on a daily basis. Having collaborated with both American and British singers, rappers and producers, Skatta is laying down tracks for a new generation... and the music industry is listening up. In 2016, Skatta was requested as a guest on BBC 1xtra, and host Sian Anderson's described him as "one of my favourites to ever do it", describing his voice as "captivating". Since then he has been signed up to the roster of sync licensing agency I'm Not a Machine, performed live at Changing Trax – Electric Proms with former BBC Proms Young Composer of the Year, Toby Young, as well as Godiva Festival, Portobello Live, Fubar Radio, hosted his own show on Pyro Radio, appeared on Brapp TV and more. Skatta has been named the winner of The Artist Fund 2018 in co-operation with Pledge Music and PRS for Music Foundation! With help from the fund, Skatta will be writing, developing and recording his new EP 'Cinema Ticket'.

uniE608 Skatta - Hardships Music Video
Coventry MC Skatta has continued his quest to the top with the release of his new Hardships EP, his second project of the year following the success of his Fight Night Flows EP in February. Skatta gets a bit deeper on this project, addressing issues such as the Black Lives Matter movement, knife crime, the criminal justice system and more. The seven-track project was created during lockdown and offers a snapshot of his outlook on the world at that moment in time. The project features contributions from Clipson, LDizz, OneDa, Kriptik, Tarju Le'Sano, Lawless and Mac James, with production from OH91, J-Fresh, Trap Jesus, DJ KDubz, Juberlee and Swat Team Beats. As a whole, the project shows that not only is Skatta great performer, but also a brilliant lyricist deserving of more critical acclaim. In addition, Skatta also released the visuals for the title track, directed by De La Haye TV. One of his most political offerings to date, we see Skatta and his people making their voices heard at a march and throwing their weight behind the Black Lives Matter movement.
