Isaac Mireku is a Ghanaian - based filmmaker, Video Editor, Graphic designer, Master Control Room Operator and an Artist born in Accra with 6 years of visual storytelling experience. Am a graduate of Accra Film School, I have worked with Television stations like Faith tv, First News Network, Campus tv, Spyderlee Ent. etc and currently working as a director/editor at Genie Films.
I transform my arts into motion pictures because i realize art itself has a limited audience so it was very difficult to communicate to the people concerning social issues. I choose filming since it an extraordinary social tool that can reach tremendous number of people.
My work in documentary film making has influenced all aspects of my work, lending it a more organic and patient perspective.
I’ve created documentaries for clients such as NORSAAC, ACTION AID, GHANA - INDIA KOFI ANNAN CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE in ICT etc.
I produce and edit StarX TV show, a musical television program created to promote the culture and authenticity of Northern Region music to the world.
Some documentaries i worked on got nominated in 2016 Golden Movie Awards, 2016 We Are Water Festival, 2018 Focus On Ability Awards.
And i was one of the participants of the Creative Enterprise Support Programme last year at British Council.
