Kangmin Lim is a South Korean mixed media artist and animator who explores self-reflection through dreaming. She got her MFA in Computer Arts(MFACA) at the School of Visual Arts in 2020 winning Paula Rhodes Memorial Award for exceptional achievement, and BFA at the Columbus College of Art and Design(CCAD) with honors degree in 2018. Lim completed her thesis film “Under the Dark Clouds” which got nominated for film festivals such as The Rookies. She did her first solo exhibition “ZZZ”(2018) in Columbus, and was featured in numerous screenings and exhibitions in New York, Columbus, and South Korea; including Melt Adult #13 (2019), Left to Devices (2018), and Lines of Thought (2018). Lim did student volunteer at ACM SIGGRAPH (2019) in Los Angeles and worked as a lab assistant in SVA MFACA. Lim is doing freelance animation for Namu Stories based on LA and K-comics based on Seoul. Lim likes to work in creative studios as an animator and illustrator. She always makes personal works, because she just loves to create.
