Director needed for 'Islands'

My name is Fynn and I’d like to call myself a writer. I mostly dabble in young adult novels but I had the inspiration to transform one of those novels into a film.

I’m interested in finding a director for this film. We aren’t yet funded and I’m planning on doing a lot of crowdfunding and good old fashion fundraising to get the money we need to have a decent film thrown together. I need someone who is willing and able to work with that.

Islands is a story about two broken souls, a college student and her grouchy English professor, finding each other at the most unconventional time in their lives and falling in love without realizing it. It’s a journey that’s so twisted and haunting, it literally haunts one of them even after it’s over (spoiler alert?) and doesn’t let them ever forget it. The inspiration for the novel was very Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind meets 500 Days of Summer.

With a director on board who can move with the same vision I have, I can pursue getting a cast together, finding producers, and start working on funding. With a director and a promised cast, funding will come so much easier and make the vision even clearer.
