Illustration + Simple Animation for Children's Book Promoting Positive Values

We are a social enterprise startup based in HK, currently creating interactive children storybooks. We are looking for an illustrator who has basic animation skills. We would like to have one illustration (with simple animation) for each page of the book. Please see below for more details:

“Superkids” is a publisher and ‘bookstore app’ that combines real-life stories, interactive technology and call to action. Our stories will be based on real-life characters, rather than animal or fictional characters. The stories will be inspirational and enriching, such as life in a refugee camp, and Malala’s fight for girls’ education.

Target Audience: Children aged 3-8 years old
Length of story: 25-35 pages
Deliverables: Illustration + 2D animation for storybook characters and contents: simple drawings with some amounts of simple animation
Reference: “Bible for Kids” App - in terms of details of illustrations, amount of animations we are expecting

Start time: Late July - August
Collaboration in the long term: we are currently launching our pilot book, and we will publish more books subsequently. If we collaborate well in the pilot launch, we’d like to extend the collaboration for our subsequent series.

Budget: 1000-1500 USD per book (depending on experience)
