Fast-paced editorial and branded content in Williamsburg, NY, US

Versatile freelance Animator required for fast-paced editorial and branded content studio. You will be working on a team handling the editing and animating on a wide range of projects including 0:30 pre-roll spots, long-form and short form documentaries, and more, animated social videos and more.

DUTIES:

• Working directly with the lead creative assigned to the project to create spots using editing and animation skills.
• Animating with footage in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, making quick changes/edits.
• Address consolidated internal and client notes.
• Preparing projects for finishing, conform, and delivery in various formats and aspect ratios.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

• 1+ years experience for a Junior Editor/Animators, 3+ years experience for Mid-Level Editor/Animators. Media or agency experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication design and/or animation, illustration Video Production or equivalent work experience.
• Focused on and interested in working on projects that requires both illustration and animation.
• Ability to creatively problem solve.
• Ideal candidate is detail oriented, extremely organized, and adapts to change with ease.
• Knowledge of the current global media environment and the VICE brand is a must.
• A successful track record on project delivery to client.
• Ability to multitask under strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and strong time management skills required.
• Operates well independently and as part of a team.
• Experience on multilingual projects a plus.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

• Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Uploading deliverables and internal postings to Frame.IO and various review platforms.
• Knowledge of delivering formats for social platforms (Snapchat, Instagram, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience uploading and downloading from FTP servers
