Each corps builds anticipation for its coming season with a theme, one that summarizes the overall musical and artistic direction of the performance.

We need an illustration that will embody an existing theme for the upcoming season. The illustration and its elements will be used in the following executions:

1. T-shirts and other potential apparel. So the illustration should be simple enough to readily translate, but be visually appealing to a teenaged and twenty-something audience.

2. Promotional videos, particularly in terms of design elements being used in animation and other effects.

3. Potential uniform and color guard items such as flags.

As far as finished product is concerned, it is ideal if done in layered Photoshop files that can be readily used in animation.

In order to spare the illustrator unnecessary effort, we prefer to see a small number of conceptual sketches for a general approach. Once a direction is chosen, the selected element is the one that will be developed into a finished piece of work.
