Job Description
Unbridled is seeking a freelance/contract PHP/ WordPress Backend Developer to work with our web development team on a regular and consistent basis and to become an extension of our team. The freelance developer will work directly with our event technology team to build custom WordPress plugins and web apps that support both internal staff and clients. We are looking for a positive, motivated, resourceful, and driven individual with high attention to detail and a knack for independent problem solving. The ideal candidate can perform and excel under tight deadlines and unexpected changes in direction and priorities.

Successful candidates will have the following:

• Mid-to-Senior Level: 3+ years of experience in web development
• Fluent in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Strong proficiency in WordPress CMS, WP file structure, custom post types/taxonomies with WordPress codex familiarity
• Familiarity with Woocommerce, Formidable/Gravity Forms, Advanced Custom Fields, Custom Post Type UI, WP Bakery Visual Composer, Yoast - SEO and other widely used WordPress plugins
• Experience developing custom WordPress plugins and/or themes
• Experience with GitHub version control

Preferred but not required:

• Familiarity with MySQL, CSS preprocessors, and other programming languages
• Proficiency in WordPress multisite
• Excellent communication skills both within the internal team as well as client facing
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, be flexible, & meet strict deadlines
• Strong learner’s spirit and eagerness to learn new technologies for new problems
