Minneapolis - Record Hammering Pipe

I would guess this an unusual request.

I live in a basement condominium. A while back a steam return pipe started hammering. I have been having a hard time getting the management company to acknowledge this sound, much less do something about it. I want to record this pipe noise over the course of several weeks. I would like a written analysis of the sound and a report I can present in a court of law if it should come to that.

I don’t mean to insult an artist. I’m just not sure where else I might go to meet this need.
