Our freelance Photographic Assistants must be able to multi-task while maintaining a focused and efficient workflow with Photographers. Daily responsibilities include moving sets, lights, image editing, file management, studio organization, set building, keeping the studio clean and in order, assisting Photographers and pitching in wherever help is needed. Looking for an applicant with a can-do, upbeat attitude who is highly motivated and is great at taking initiative. Frequency of work will vary and our Freelancers are paid a day rate on a 1099 basis.

Applicant must have experience in the following:

• Adobe Photoshop, Capture One Pro, Mac OS, Excel, Word
• Using and maintaining Studio lighting and grip, including: Profoto, Canon, Broncolor
• Styling product (steaming, cleaning, light set styling)
• General carpentry skills

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting Photographers and staff with lighting sets, assembly, cleaning and moving of product onto and off of set
• Cleaning and organizing of the studio
• File Management, editing and backing up images on a daily basis.

Education, Experience and Other Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma; College degree preferred
• Some furniture moving experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s license preferred
• Computer proficiency: Working knowledge of Mac OS
• Understanding of general work practices in photography
• Dedicated to business and allow flexibility with work hours if necessary
