The core of our business is designing brands for new property developments and carrying those brands through into print, web and signage. Because all of our work is in property, the branding process has to be nuanced, so that brands are distinctive. We also sometimes design using established corporate brands, sometimes to a template.

The branding process is very creative, the follow-up can be less creative: I need floorplans drawn accurately and brochures completed to deadlines. Adverts can attract multiple amends but they still need to go on time.

I work collaboratively with a single freelance designer, in a relationship close to a partnership. The work I give him keeps him 95% occupied, he doesn’t need to go looking for other work. In return I expect him to meet my deadlines regardless of what else he has on. All work is done to a fixed price / schedule of rates. We work remotely and tie-up via skype.

I’d like to replicate that relationship with another designer now.

You should have plenty of experience designing brands for different audiences, property would be an advantage. You need to be fast-working, thick-skinned and easy to get on with. You need your own workspace and your own computer, adobe, meet up
