Lead Developer in London, UK 🌎
Hugo & Cat are looking for a Lead developer with strong development skills, team management and a proven experience of agile product delivery to join our team and share the development of a new-to-market product in the next 2 months.
You should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of React development, components, best practices and lifecycle methods. A high level knowledge of TypeScript integration, declarations and testing, as well as SASS, ITCSS, BEM, Webpack etc…
Whilst the Hugo & Cat team is entirely located out of our office in London, you will also be working with, and assisting to bring up to speed, the client’s newly established development team remotely.

Skills and Experience
We’re looking for a strong mix of skills, and would expect you to be able to tick most or all of these boxes:
- Proven record of team management, staff mentoring and code/peer reviews.
- Excellent understanding of Agile Scrum methodology, ceremonies, planning and grooming.
- Excellent tooling and package management inc Webpack and NPM
- Excellent HTML5, ARIA, SASS/CSS3 experience
- An understanding of responsive design techniques for mobile, tablet and beyond
- An appreciation of business requirements and usability principles
- A good eye for design and a real passion for interaction design
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be personable, friendly and work well in a team
- Enthusiastic about the web and emerging web technologies
