Illustrator is needed in West Chester, United States.

The Illustrator Technical Flat Sketch (Women’s Fashion) position’s primary responsibility is to create, prepare and update technical sketches for the design team which would support the development process of private label product for QVC Proprietary Brands.

Job Description Details
This role will assist in interpreting the designer’s direction using either sketched ideas or original samples to convert into a working Adobe Illustrator flat sketch. The result would be a technically drawn flat that both the Technical Design Team, Souring Team and Overseas offices would use to create product for the target customer.

This position will have responsibilities for updating sketches as needed, filling in sketches with design details, embellishments and prints and creating presentation boards. In addition, this freelance sketch artist will assist with creating full color line sheets for the design team, management and all design meetings.

Requirements

• Team Player- must have tireless work ethic with energy to drive the business.
• Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator to create, prepare, and update technical sketches for design team. Must have working knowledge of Illustrator and be able to draw and fill flats with embroidery, prints, solids and engineered layouts for PLM system as well as line boards.
• Must be able to work 20 hours per week as this is a freelance part time position
• Strong time/management skills and the ability to move between projects with ease
• Presentation and organizational skills
• Proficiency in PC operation, MS office and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and - Adobe Illustrator software
• Good understanding of how to work in PLM System
• Strong design and conceptual skills as related to sketching
• Understanding of target customer
• Working knowledge of Flex PLM system preferred.
