We are a busy design/construction company with a lot of on-going projects ( 20+ Residential & Commercial projects) and more coming! We primarily work on residential projects, which include ADU’s, ground-up projects, remodels & additions. With that, we are looking for an Architectural Designer/Drafter to provide support and become and integral part of our team. We are rapidly growing in both the state of CA & WA.

We are interested in bringing an individual with an excellent work ethic who is responsible, passionate about design and construction and someone who is open to learn new things and continuously grow!

Responsibilities include the following

  • Meet with potential clients to discuss future project (Both for design and for construction projects as needed)

  • Design projects as needed.
  • Assemble the architectural set of drawings for permitting. Individual must be familiar with design, building codes, set requirements and how to pull construction permits from the City, County etc.

  • Coordinate with clients, city, county, Engineers, Title 24 consultant, MEP’s etc. as required.
  • Be willing to learn the business side of things. Putting estimates together and closing deals could be part of this role as needed.

  • Meet with Owner as required to go over project status.
  • Must be able to work independently most of the time. This is a work from home contract position. This not only provides you more flexibility but it also saves you a lot of hassle with commuting.
  • Must be OK with driving to sites throughout the Bay Area as required.
  • Must have a good understanding of construction means & methods and how that relates to design, time, & costs.
  • Must be able to understand architectural, structural, Title 24, MEP’s etc.
  • Submit to any given jurisdiction, fill out applications, make corrections to drawings as required etc.
  • We are looking at filling this role ASAP.

The right individual should have/posses the following

  • 3+ years of experience is ideal but not required. As long as the above can be performed, we can work around the experience.
  • Have a B.Architecture or B.S in Construction Management is desired but not required. If you have the knowledge, we can work around the degree. This opportunity is open for current students who have the right skills & knowledge.
  • Office 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • CAD, Revit or both (You can choose whichever works best for you)
  • Photoshop, Illustrator, Bluebeam, Sketch Up, etc.
  • Interested in learning about the business side of things (sales, marketing, etc.)
  • Must be easy to work with, be a team player and have a great attitude!
