Project explainer on microplastic removal

I need a video explainer for my scientific project. the video should be 1:45 seconds. It is about microplastics removal from wastewater effluents using numerical simulations, here is adescription:

An emerging global concern that needs to be urgently addressed is the microplastics contamination. These tiny pieces of plastic are abundant in seawater and could affect the functioning of marine ecosystems. Recent studies analyzed scores of tap water samples from more than a dozen nations and 81% of the samples were contaminated with microplastic fibers, which may affect human health. Microplastics enter freshwater environments primarily from wastewater and industrial effluent. However, conventional filtration method are unable to remove all the tiny piece of plastics. Furthermore, the challenge is not only their small size and various types, but also their inert properties against most of the physical and chemical additives for flocculation, making their capture even more complex.

I will participate in solving this urgent matter by finding adequate eco-friendly liquids that have high affinity towards the microplastics surface. The liquid, once added in small amounts in the wastewater effluent, will capture the microplastics and form capillary microplastics agglomerates, allowing an easy subsequent water-microplastics separation. There are hundreds of types of microplastics and it would take an experimentalist years to test them all to find the best capturing liquid. Thankfully we don’t have to test them all, I will use molecular dynamics simulations to quickly test hundreds of microplastics against various liquids to quantify the affinity between them, and subsequently establish for each type of microplastics, the most optimum capturing liquids.
