Unfolding Temporary
I’ve been working on an original musical but the music we have I realized isn’t what I want. It needs to lean more into pop with an edge to it and I now want the story to be more of a back and forth between the two main characters with times they connect. The vibe I’m trying to go for is “Waitress the Musical” mixed with Julia Michael’s style. Here’s the logline:
After deciding to end her life in 3 months, a college student, Jane, meets another, Naomi, causing her to battle with whether or not falling in love is enough of a reason to continue living.
Here is the script with placeholders for possible songs and song references. At the end of the day, it is a musical and I want the songs to be specific to this story and help move it forward. But I want that contemporary pop feel.
