The Singularity

Hello there!

I studied movies some 20+ years ago. I worked at Radio-Canada and CBC for a few years, but never in the movie industry. Now on sabbatical, I’d like to write a screenplay (movie). I tried by myself but that 20+ years’ rust is hampering my progress.

And as such, I’m seeking help.

I think I have a fairly original idea on my hands, including a message for humanity.
Sounds pompous, I know, but it is what it is…

I don’t want to say too much, but it’s about the Singularity (the first AI to come to sentience), and how we, as a society, should set the table now and treat AIs with more respect and dignity, before they become sentient and decide they don’t like us.

I want to write this screenplay in English because USA.
Let’s not all pretend like this is not where the money is ;)

Speaking of which, this is every screenwriter’s favorite motto: “I can’t afford to pay you”. I know, I know. You hear it all the time…
But most of my story is already lined-up. Most of my characters are lined-up.
I’m missing a few scenes and my dialogues. That’s pretty much it.
It’s not so much a creative job as it is a lending hand.

And even if I’ve already came up with about 85% of the story and characters, I’m more than willing to split the sale 50/50, once this screenplay is sold (I’m confident it will sell), including merch and sequels and whatnots, should it sell.
I think it’s a fair deal.
