Location: London, UK
Contract: 6 Months FTC

To work on the Guardian’s hugely successful Audio Long Read podcast and other Guardian podcasts as required for a 6 month fixed term contract behind maternity leave.

About The Role

• Responsible for production of three weekly episodes of The Audio Long Read
• Continually developing the strand with new ideas and talent, recording in studio, scripting, editing and mixing to professional standards, often on tight deadlines.
• Working closely with executive producers and editors to guarantee the highest levels of creativity and editorial standards.

About You

• You’ll have experience in audio documentary/drama, professional podcasting, audiobook production, factual radio or current affairs.
• A keen eye on the news cycle, as well as a passion for long-form journalism, is essential. As is the ability to produce, edit, score, sound design and mix to broadcast standard with a short turnaround.
• Strong organisation skills
• Ideally, you’ll have a demonstrable ability to bring a diverse perspective to this role
