Curtin University’s 3rd year productions are currently in pre-production and Dead Bees is one of the 5 films being produced in 2023.

Dead bees are the consequence of a hive failing to successfully act as a unit, much alike the relationship of Sarah and Darren. Young parents to Quinn and Riley, Sarah and Darren find themselves at a fork in the road at a friend’s barbeque in the form of an argument. Working two jobs while her husband sits on the couch wishing to find a job that he’s passionate about, Sarah snaps and comes to realise that maybe their shared love for their two kids is not enough to keep them together.

According to Curtin University and Production Office guidelines, we are not allowed to pay talent, however, with the funds we raise we plane to submit the film into multiple film festivals once it is complete. The crew are all very eager to make this film and plan to put all efforts possible into finishing the year with a professional indie-level film.
