I am looking for a white male in his 50s to play the role of Daniel who is Annie’s father in the script

Synopsis

Father, Daniel and daughter, Annie sit in their backyard – an ethereal sun dappled spot. The
space between them suggests there is tension. Daniel eats a naartjie as he explains that he is worried about Annie
and wants to know how to fix her. Annie explains that she is ”just struggling at the moment”. As
much as Daniel cares for Annie, his response comes back as harsh and insensitive. He lacks
empathy for his daughter’s situation. Upset, Annie withdraws back into the house.
To Daniels surprise, Annie reappears. She is holding a small bottle in her hand. She takes 8
oval shaped pills out of the bottle and tells Daniel that she wants him to take them. After much
back and forth between the two, and after Annie explains that she wants her father to ”feel what
she feels”, in a desperate attempt to help her father understand her mental struggles, Annie
finally gets Daniel to take the pills.
As Daniel enters a state of oblivion, the scene is consumed by the warm afternoon glow and
dissolves into a memory of sorts. Daniel and Annie are on a long concrete jetty in a harbor.
Annie walks beside Daniel as they share a naartjie and tease a seagull. This a memory of pure happiness yet before it can be savored, it fizzles out
back to Daniels reality as the pills ware- off. Daniels face re-emerges, now lit up by a garden
light. It is night and much time has passed. He opens his eyes and is greeted with the sight of
his sad, tired daughter. He finally understands Annie’s condition. Daniel sobs into his daughters
arms.
