Your New Role

The Games Producer will be part of the Shared Digital Product Team and be responsible for the development and roll out of Cartoon Network and Cartoonito branded HTML5 games and mobile apps in multiple languages across international markets to drive audience engagement, brand awareness, and revenue when relevant. The ideal candidate possesses the experience and ability to plan, manage, and deliver digital projects that can range from large and complex builds involving multiple stakeholders to smaller day-to-day channel supporting gaming content. They will have creative flair and technical ability to communicate and work closely with designers, animators, marketers, developers, and technical teams.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Conceptualize and plan HTML5 games and gaming mobile apps for core WBD Kids shows.
  • Regularly check the performance of the existing portfolio, analyze data, and plan product development based on clear KPIs.
  • Produce HTML5 games and mobile apps ensuring content is compliant with WBD standards and ensure effective product development and delivery to fit the designated platform which can include 3rd party partner platforms.
  • Work closely with Senior Digital Manager and Localization Team to create briefs, scoping documents, wireframes, technical and functional specifications, and project plans to adapt and localize the games accordingly to our standards, making sure all products and services follow a testing plan and are fully optimized, ready for release.
  • Prepare product decks and present during team meetings when required.
  • Carry out user testing on larger products at key points in game/app production to ensure the product meets the needs of the target audience, adapting the product where needed before launch.
  • Manage the Product Roadmap for the Cartoonito app, prioritizing new features and updates to align with business goals.
  • Manage the allocated budget and timelines with the app studio to ensure all changes remain within scope and are delivered on time.
  • Use the App Store Console and the Google Play Store console to manage apps, constantly looking for ways to improve ASO and increase engagement for our apps within the competitive kids’ app landscape.
  • Suggest the best routes to monetize kids’ mobile apps and other digital products.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Solid experience in gaming production environment with practical hands-on knowledge of all the production cycles for HTML5 games and mobile apps.
  • In-depth knowledge of product development from information architecture to prototyping, QA, testing, bug-fixing, publishing, review, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ability to define objectives, set clear deadlines, and monitor production progress against KPIs.
  • Excellent knowledge of Digital Industry best practices including product UO and UX with a focus on gaming.
  • Good understanding of monetization in the (kids) gaming industry would be desirable.
  • Experience using Data and Analytics Systems.
  • Experience in writing production briefs, product summary documents as well as detailed production plans.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital project management and production tools (e.g. MS Project, Basecamp, Trello), web, social, and mobile analytics tools, and bug tracking tools.
  • Ability to translate technical terminology to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in complex, matrix-managed, collaborative organizations.
  • Experience of working with multiple territories and localizing projects into multiple languages.
  • Nice to have: Experience of working on preschool digital products and monetizing kids’ mobile apps.
