Job Description

We are seeking a talented Freelance Sound Designer/Composer to collaborate with our Project Manager on designing and composing in-app background music and custom sound effects for our educational app. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in composition, sound design for apps, and a strong understanding of music psychology. Your role will involve creating an immersive and engaging auditory experience that enhances the in-app experience for our users.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Project Manager to understand the sound requirements for the app.
• Compose engaging and appropriate music tracks for various sections of the app.
• Create custom sound effects that align with the in-app experience and user interactions.
• Apply knowledge of music psychology to enhance the emotional and educational impact of the app.
• Ensure sound quality is consistent and optimized for app usage across different devices.
• Provide creative input and suggestions for improving the auditory experience of the app.
• Manage sound design projects from conception to delivery, ensuring deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Composer and Sound Designer with a portfolio showcasing previous app-related or video game projects.
• Strong understanding of music psychology and its application to user experience.
• Proficiency in Music & Sound Effects Composition, and Mixing/Mastering.
• Adaptable and ability to compose in various musical styles and themes necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinker with a keen ear for detail and a passion for creating engaging auditory experiences.
