UX Designer is needed in New York, United States.

Overview: We are looking for someone to redesign our web app, Grapevine. We’re on a mission to simplify and enhance user workflows, focusing on Ordering and Sign-up. With over a year of user feedback, we’re confident about the changes needed. We’re looking for a creative thinker, experienced in motion design and data storytelling, to bring a fresh perspective to our platform.
This isn’t a one time gig. We’re seeking a designer for the long haul, someone who’s passionate about our platform and ready to grow with us. They’ll help ideate new features, solve user needs, and craft workflows for years to come. This is a long term position, and the redesign of our app is just the beginning.

Responsibilities:

  • Get to know our audience: Conduct thorough user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our target audience.
  • Simplify Workflows: Identify ways to make user workflows straightforward and intuitive.
  • Information Architecture: Develop and refine the information architecture of Grapevine to ensure an organized and logical structure.
  • Visual Design: Develop a visually appealing and cohesive design language for Grapevine, including color schemes, typography, and iconography.
  • Motion Design: Bring creativity by integrating motion design to elevate the visual appeal and engagement.
  • Data Storytelling: Present data in innovative ways, making information clear and meaningful.
  • Work with our developers: work and communicate with our developers to ensure they can develop what you design.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts. Iterate based on feedback and testing.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes for testing, gather feedback, and refine designs for user satisfaction.
  • Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance Grapevine’s user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful web app design projects.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong motion design skills and a portfolio showcasing dynamic interfaces.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve design challenges.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies and constraints.
  • Ability to work with our development team

The project has an annual salary budget of $86,400 and the expert can work remotely
