Creative Director

Creative Director is needed in Sarasota, United States.

Summary/Objective
The Content Studio at Miles is looking for one or more freelance Creative Producers to help strategize, lead and/or direct film and video projects. This role will be responsible for developing, concepting and executing film and video strategies across a wide range of styles and clients. Although supported by an extended team, this role will oversee and drive projects, working with both internal and other freelance resources. This is a freelance position with no guarantee of hours per week. Being able to work local in Sarasota or Pinellas counties is preferred but not mandatory. Some travel to on-location production is required.

Essential Duties

  • Develop the creative vision and strategic initiatives for film & video products for Miles Partnership’s clients. This may include creating episodic and/or serial storylines across multiple videos for a consistent client.
  • Create high-quality travel video marketing creative across streaming, digital, social and traditional channels.
  • Collaborate with the Client, Executive Producer, Video Production Manager and possibly others to create and execute engaging and dynamic video strategies from pre-production through post production.
  • Lead brainstorm meetings and provide leadership in the development and communication of creative concepts for video products.
  • Provide clear direction to videographers and/or editors on how to create/improve shot lists, video proofs, etc. to amplify videos.
  • Identify workflow objectives and priorities and works with the team to ensure successful finalize production schedules.
  • Lead communications with clients, including presentations.
  • Source and coordinate crew and talent for video projects.
  • Travel to on-location productions, as required. The average travel requirement is around 50%.
  • Coordinate wardrobe options with talent where needed and format for client review.
  • Identify and coordinate any props or equipment needs.
  • Lead the pre-pro call to ensure talent and any on-location crew and client(s) are prepared for being on-location.
  • Understand and implement best practices for video content.
  • Ensure clients’ branding guidelines are consistent across multiple videos and clients.
  • Provide final deliverables according to the pre-approved launch schedule.
  • Participate in team and project meetings to discuss progress and ensure production objectives are met.
  • Manage and prioritize own workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals and assignments as needed.

Other Duties

  • From time to time, this position may be asked to be on-location for video production. This includes both acting as director, producer, field manager and/or assistant to ensure a successful shoot.
  • From time to time, this position may be asked to attend client meetings whether in-house or on-location at client office. On-location client management during shoots may also be required.

Work skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of video production experience (preferably in the travel marketing industry or entertainment industry).
  • Proficient knowledge of the full film/video production processes (prep through post) and its best practices.
  • Experience directing talent and managing on-location shooting.
  • Excellent at communicating with both clients and co-workers, both verbally and written.
  • Able to identify and solve problems and create opportunities independently and simultaneously.
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to take direction, but also work independently.
  • Works well in a team environment understanding organizational dynamics and the importance of communication priorities.
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Display sound organizational skills and computer literacy.
  • Possess a careful attention to detail.
  • Display a dependable, strong work ethic.
  • Able to work remotely while contributing to our fast-paced work needs with several concurrent deliverables.
